The Ministry of Culture is taking part in the 21st edition of “LuBeC – Lucca Cultural Heritage”, an event dedicated to the development and understanding of the “culture–innovation” sector, which will take place on October 8 and 9 at the Real Collegio in Lucca.
The Directorate-General for Digitalization and Communication of the Ministry of Culture and the Central Institute for the Digitalization of Cultural Heritage – Digital Library are participating in the 21st edition of LuBeC – Lucca Cultural Heritage, the annual event promoted by Promo PA Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Tuscany Region, and local institutions, dedicated to cultural development, competitiveness, and innovation in the country.
The 2025 edition, titled “Bridges of Culture”, focuses on the role of culture as a means of connecting people, generations, and territories—creating relationships and fostering cohesion, sustainability, and innovation. Through its Thematic Workshops, LuBeC explores the links between culture, digital and green transitions, cultural welfare, urban regeneration, and creative entrepreneurship, with the aim of strengthening skills and models of collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Nel corso della due giorni, la Direzione generale Digitalizzazione e comunicazione from and the digital library parteciperanno a due sessioni di lavoro dedicate al tema dell’ecosistema digitale per la cultura (Ecomic), piattaforma nazionale per l’interoperabilità, la condivisione e la valorizzazione dei dati e dei contenuti culturali.

Workshop all’interno del Cantiere Dicolab, a cura della Scuola nazionale del patrimonio e delle attività culturali, in collaborazione con la Digital Library.
Durante la sessione interverranno Andrea De Pasquale, Direttore Generale della Direzione generale Digitalizzazione e comunicazione e Giuliano Romalli, Direttore della Digital Library. Saranno presentati i risultati e gli sviluppi del progetto Ecomic, con focus su architetture semantiche, servizi di intelligenza artificiale e pratiche di comunicazione digitale rivolte ai nuovi pubblici. Il Cantiere si inserisce nell’ambito di Dicolab. Cultura al digitale, il programma formativo promosso dal Ministero della Cultura – Digital Library nell’ambito del PNRR Cultura 4.0, con il sostegno dell’Unione Europea – Next Generation EU, volto a potenziare le competenze digitali degli operatori e delle organizzazioni culturali.

Institutional presentation of ECoMic and of the work carried out by the Directorate-General for Digitalization and Communication and the Digital Library, with their respective Directors and officials from the Digital Library. A session dedicated to exploring the new digital governance in culture, the application scenarios of the ECoMic ecosystem, and the ongoing projects for the digitalization of cultural heritage.
With their participation in LuBeC 2025, the Directorate-General for Digitalization and Communication of the Ministry of Culture and the Digital Library reaffirm their commitment to promoting the digital transformation of cultural heritage, fostering the creation of an integrated and shared ecosystem among institutions, professionals, and communities, in line with the goals of the 2030 Agenda and the PNRR Culture 4.0.
