From 30 October to 2 November 2025, the annual event returns with the Mediterranean Exchange of Archaeological Tourism (BMTA) of Paestum, now in its 27th edition.

The **Ministry of Culture**, among the sponsoring bodies, will be present as an exhibitor and in numerous meetings and workshops dedicated to themes, experiences and projects relating to the protection and enhancement of heritage.
The event includes “**Archeovirtual**”, multimedia exhibition and virtual archaeology workshop, curated by the Digital Heritage Innovation Laboratory of the CNR ISPC which explores a selection of the most recent digital applications for the knowledge and enhancement of archaeological heritage, this year dedicated to the theme “**Digital applications and cultural tourism**”.
Within the workshop, which will take place on **Saturday 1 November from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm** at the Sala Cerere of Next ex Tabacchificio di Cafasso, the Director General for Digitalization and Communication Andrea De Pasquale and the Director of the Digital Library Giuliano Romalli will speak.

The intervention of the Director General will focus on the impact of new technologies in the management of new cultural tourism scenarios, and on the initiatives that the Directorate General is developing to address and govern this change, including the development of Ecomic, a digital ecosystem for culture.
The intervention of the Digital Library will present “DPaaS – Data Product as a Service”, the Ecomic experimentation environment dedicated to the creation of new digital products and services based on cultural data, a platform-laboratory that opens new perspectives for the enhancement and enjoyment of heritage, giving rise to personalised experiences, intelligent tourist itineraries, educational tools and advanced research content, thus fostering an increasingly dynamic connection between culture, technology and creativity.
