The Directorate general for Digitalization and communication of the Ministry of Culture is promoting a new institutional communication campaign dedicated to promoting the digitization of the heritage preserved by Italian cultural institutions, through the creation of a series of reels for its social media channels.
The project is part of a process already underway with the "Cantieri del digitale" and #PatrimoniConnessi campaigns, through which the DG-DC has progressively described, respectively, the operational phases of the digitization processes and the opportunities generated by the networking of cultural heritage. Continuing these experiences, the new campaign expands and strengthens the institutional narrative, highlighting the results and prospects of ongoing interventions.
The initiative is part of the PNRR's projects and complements the broader digitization program aimed at creating and integrating new resources within Ecomic, the digital ecosystem for cultural heritage. The campaign helps illustrate one of the strategic interventions that will lead to the overall digitization of over 75 million new digital resources, including archival, bibliographic, and documentary materials of high historical and cultural value.
The reels, characterized by innovative, direct, and accessible language, will be created to reach a broad and diverse audience, with a particular focus on younger generations. Through dynamic and engaging narratives, the content will highlight the role of cultural institutions in the preservation and transmission of national historical memory, enhancing their diverse heritage and experiences.
Through this campaign, the Directorate general for Digitalisation and communication aims to consolidate a more inclusive and contemporary form of institutional communication, capable of guiding citizens in discovering the opportunities offered by the digital transformation of cultural heritage.
