A monthly information space dedicated to digital innovation for culture.
The Directorate-General for Digitalization and Communication launches its institutional newsletter, an information and update tool aimed at cultural heritage professionals, institutions, researchers, businesses and citizens interested in digital transformation processes in the cultural sector.
The newsletter has been created with the aim of presenting projects, initiatives, opportunities and results that contribute to innovating the Italian cultural system, promoting the dissemination of knowledge, best practices and tools to support the enhancement of cultural heritage.
Each issue will provide insights into the main programmes and activities of the Directorate-General for Digitalization and Communication, including the digital ecosystem for culture Ecomic, digitization campaigns, tools for access to and sharing of cultural data, training and funding opportunities, as well as the most significant events and appointments for the sector.
The first issue includes updates on innovative digital platforms for cultural heritage, the new Data Product Catalogue of the DPaaS platform, the map of Italy’s digital cultural heritage, opportunities related to calls for the certification of digital skills, and the “Digital Sites” communication campaign, dedicated to the digital transformation of cultural heritage, together with the related updates on the objectives achieved as part of the NRRP.
The newsletter also dedicates space to institutional events, with a countdown to the second edition of the Digital Culture General States, a moment of discussion and sharing dedicated to the challenges and prospects of innovation in the cultural sector, which will be held in Rome on 11 and 12 November.
With this initiative, the Directorate-General for Digitalization and Communication aims to strengthen dialogue with its community of reference, promoting greater awareness of ongoing activities and contributing to the development of an increasingly widespread, inclusive and participatory digital culture.
