“Culture, Innovation and Research. Conference of the National PhD in Heritage Science”

Friday 13 February we will participate in the conference “Culture, Innovation and Research. Conference of the National PhD in Heritage Science”, which will take place at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of Sapienza University of Rome from 12 to 14 February 2026. The event represents the first official opportunity for meeting and exchange among the PhD candidates of the National PhD in Heritage Science, with the aim of highlighting the diversity of approaches, experiences and perspectives that characterize this interdisciplinary field of research.

As part of the conference, two guided visits have been organized at facilities of national relevance for research and the enhancement of cultural heritage ([https://sites.google.com/uniroma1.it/hsconference2026/visite-guidate](https://sites.google.com/uniroma1.it/hsconference2026/visite-guidate)).

One of these is organized at the Central Institute for the Digitization of Cultural Heritage – Digital Library within the Directorate General for Digitalization and Communication, with a workshop and presentation of the digital ecosystem Ecomic, followed by a visit to the spaces of the ICCD Photographic Archive and the digitization lab, in line with the principles of institutional collaboration that guide the Institute’s activities.
